What is FundAlarm? Inside
FundAlarm is a free, non-commercial Website. Our view of the mutual fund industry is slightly off-center. We help you decide when it's time to sell a fund, instead of when it's time to buy. The mutual fund industry is full of broken promises, arrogance, greed, hypocrisy -- the list goes on. We try to shine a light in the darker corners, and poke holes in balloons that could use some poking.

Should you sell your mutual fund?
No Web site can tell you, unequivocally, that it's time to sell your mutual fund. But if you own a "3-ALARM" fund, FundAlarm believes that you should consider selling it.

A 3-ALARM fund is one that has consistently underperformed an appropriate benchmark. You can tell if you own a 3-ALARM fund by viewing its FundAlarm data table. If you want to cut to the chase, you can view a list of only 3-ALARM funds. And if you really like viewing train wrecks, you can view a list of the "most alarming 3-ALARM funds."
What's happening at your fund?
Whether or not you own a 3-ALARM fund, it's important news when the manager of your fund quits or gets fired. FundAlarm is the only resource, on or off the Web, that maintains a database of mutual fund manager changes. We also have some opinions, and we express them. The Highlights & Commentary page presents our take on the mutual fund industry in general. See why one writer has said that "FundAlarm accepts no advertising - and probably wouldn't get any if it did."
